Media Example #3- Week of 1/30

The 1st question that popped into my head when I was watching this video was, "how old is this guy?” He sounds like he is in his early 80s.   Although,  Bill Cunningham might be approaching his last years,  I think his insight was ready accurate.  It was nice to watch a video instead of reading a long article,  especially when it comes to fashion.  My best friends both have degrees in fashion design and they always have something to say about my unique style (putting it lightly).  I officially bought my first pair of skinny jeans  last Sunday.   I figured that its about time to get over my fear of ankle huggers and get on with the fashion world.  And it's a good thing I did because according to this,  they're not going out of style anytime soon.

Media Example #1- Week of 1/23

To be  completely honest,  the magazine Glamour is not my cup of tea.   This article specifically is one of the reasons why I don’t read this kind of magazine.  I find it quite strange that any guy would openly admit to being wrong about something; anything.  I don’t think I’ve ever met a guy that says the words, “I found the one”.  As cute as it would be, I just find a hard to believe that a guy that once considered himself a single swinger,  would be openly admitting to falling in love with one woman in a such dramatic fashion.   This is just too much of a typical love song. But, I blame myself for feeling this way,  I mean,  my favorite artist wrote the famous lyrics, “so much for my happy ending”.   I suppose if I was an avid listener of Taylor Swift,  then I would love this love song.

Media Example #2- Week of 1/23

The days of Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady in the AFC Championship are over.  Time to continue rebuilding a franchise that has been lights out for the last decade.  The good thing for the Indianapolis Colts are they get the first pick in the draft (Andrew Luck) and hopefully they replace a future hall of fame Quarterback.   It reminds me of when San Francisco replaced Joe Montana with Steve Young and we all saw what that lead too; yet another Super Bowl Championship team.  In two weeks for the Patriots to come into Indianapolis; is just another drop of rain in an already stormy year for the Colts.  Maybe this week Peyton can go watch his brother get ready for the Patriots and learn how to beat them, something Peyton has not done very well.

DNA Testing Dog Poop

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/24/dna-testing-dog-poop_n_884060.html

Being a mother of two dogs, I found this blog quite interesting. Both, Marley and Lilly, are very secretive about where they placed their feces.  No joke, my dogs will hide in bushes or behind  trees in an area where no one can see them. I find this quite convenient because my dogs choose places that people don’t walk and I can’t get to. Every time I’ve asked one of my neighbors what they would do  in my situation, they say “it’s fertilizer, leave it.”  However on the other hand, I have a neighbor whose dog likes to pee  on the bushes right outside my patio and every time I walk out I can smell it, and holy cow does it smell bad. The worst is when my dogs are outside, and then the neighbor brings their dog out and  this dog will walk up to mine and literally pee on them. As far as DNA testing  dog poop is concerned,  the idea that in itself seems  ridiculous but there are some dog owners that really don’t care where their dogs go to the bathroom and do nothing about it.    Obviously, my neighbors dog  isn’t just peeing  in all the wrong places,  there have been times when I’ve walked outside  and witnessed her dog pooping on the sidewalk.  That’s right,  the  most obvious place where a dog should not go. Personally, if I can get the place my dogs chose to go,  I will pick it up and I feel like  DNA testing dog poop just goes to show how inconsiderate people can be. But if people don’t listen to the rules and don’t respect their neighbors than DNA testing might be the only resolution.
